【Cottar】

　ドイツ語の【Kötter】。

農圃は完全農民、半農民および四分の一農民に分けられ、当地風の言い方では、完全エルベ、半エルベおよび小屋住みに分けられる

　【Cottar】は自由民なんだから「私民」はおかしいかと思ったら、「小屋住み」という用語が西洋史にはあるのか。そうなると住んでるところでも分けられるのかも知れんね。

　【one large longhouse】と言ったちゃんとした長館に住んでるのが【Carl】、【ten smaller residences nearby, and another ten farther out】と言った計20軒ほどの小さい住居のうち何件かに住んでいるのが【Cottar】という風に。
